Megan Rose Lane
Director of Account Management
I have been with UBC since the beginning of 2008. My focus is service and client retention. Education is my passion as well-informed people make better choices about their health insurance. I work one-on-one with clients to administer their health benefits throughout the plan year. This entails helping them understand terms, additions, and changes, providing claim assistance and giving general guidance on all things healthcare-related. By educating new and existing clients, I empower them to make quality plan selections and smoothly implement group health insurance.
Director of Benefits Consulting
One of our goals at UBC is to make sure we connect your business with plans that meet your specific needs. Since 2007, I have worked toward that goal, which eventually led to my current position. I build relationships with companies and tailor their offerings to reflect their needs – both fiscally and functionally – at inception and year after year. I am the main contact for my clients to help expedite or delegate any servicing needs or implementation processes within our department. I am also fluent in both Spanish and English.
I first joined UBC in 2013. I’m responsible for understanding the needs of the clients and improving our relationship with them. Insurance is complicated, and a big part of my job is managing information and operations to ensure things run smoothly. I handle claims and account changes, review and retain all documentation and client information, and utilize agency software to better streamline customer service.
Parsing through insurance paperwork is a long and often complicated process, and I’m responsible for ensuring we get all the necessary documentation together. Since first joining UBC in 2018, I have processed day-to-day needs from worksheets to new hire forms to COBRA notifications. I also assist with claims research for processing and enrollment and manage our Ease Central interface. As a customer service oriented person, I am always prepared to provide help wherever it’s needed.
